Who is stronger than Thanos?
That villain is, of course,
While Thanos is an Eternal and has the standard powers of super-strength, agility, regeneration, immortality, and more, Adam Warlock takes the upper hand. He can be killed, but he resurrects to be stronger every time.
But when it comes down to it, Thor is the one hero who can truly claim to be the strongest Avenger in the MCU! It's actually not that surprising that AI ended up choosing Thor as the strongest Avenger, as many consider Thor to be the most powerful of the Avengers — and for a good reason.
Galactus. Galactus is one of the most iconic and powerful villains in all of Marvel, essentially created as a god-like figure to pit the heroes against. Galactus is an enemy above concepts like good and evil.
Beyonder
With a simple thought, the Beyonder can displace an entire planet, change the rules of physics, and even destroy the entire universe. That's why the Beyonder was presented in Marvel Comics as the most powerful being to ever exist.
Hawkeye might be considered the weakest Avenger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to the extent of his abilities, but his best superpower has nothing to do with a bow and arrow. From the moment the McU's Avengers were assembled, Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton has stood out a bit.
Thanos. Perhaps the Avengers villain that MCU fans are most familiar with, Thanos's motivations in the comics are slightly different, but his power remains a constant. He's a true force to be reckoned with, and one that inspires a legion of his own that also has to be contended with.
Galactus was killed by Thor during the "Herald of Thunder" story arc in Thor (vol. 6) #1–6 (March 2020 – August 2020), and reappeared after a two-year hiatus in Fantastic Four (vol. 6) #45 (July 2022) — the final issue of the event "Reckoning War" — where Galactus is resurrected by his former heralds.
1. Thanos (Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame)
The Asgardian Son of Odin was extremely close to ending Thanos at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. After gaining the powerful weapon Stormbreaker, Thor becomes the wielder of the most powerful weapon in the universe. Stormbreaker is capable of killing Thanos outright, and only Thor is currently worthy of wielding it.
Who can beat Thanos 1 on 1?
3 Darkseid Is Thanos's Superior
The God of Evil has been fighting his wars for countless millennia and is one of the most powerful beings around. Few enemies have ever been able to beat him one on one and killing him is nigh impossible. Thanos is a fearsome enemy, but Darkseid is his superior in all forms.
Even taking into account Thanos killing half the universe in one go, Galactus still wins on kill count.
But after the release of WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it's pretty clear that the Scarlet Witch is among the most powerful. Wanda Maximoff has never truly been defeated, only "losing" to the combined forces of Doctor Strange, Wong, and America Chavez after realizing the error in her ways.
Superman is Superman. He is going to be on every list that ranks superheroes by speed, strength, durability, endurance, etc. You name it, he's on it. Of course, Superman is much, much faster than a regular old bullet.
However, sitting bottom of the pack as the least popular Avenger of the five is Captain America, who managed to be most searched for in a total of zero of the countries researched.
Quicksilver. Wanda Maximoff's brother Pietro Maximoff gained his supersonic speed after being exposed to the power of an Infinity Stone. Right from his first appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron, he's known to be the fastest superhuman with a perceptive mind and quick-witted motion.
Individual characters
The angriest Avenger is indeed Dr. Bruce Banner.
Thanos's power, cunning, and years of experience have allowed him to outsmart and defeat some of the most powerful beings in the universe. All manners of beings have fallen before Thanos and while the Avengers are powerful, if Thanos really put his mind to it, he could end the Avengers at any moment.
Mandarin - The archenemy of Iron Man, the Mandarin is a Chinese nobleman, scientist and former diplomat turned criminal mastermind.
Thanos is one of the main antagonists of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, serving as the main antagonist of the Infinity Saga and the posthumous overarching antagonist of the Multiverse Saga.
Who is Galactus scared of?
The MCU's Eternals introduced the Dreaming Celestial known as Tiamut, who is the only being Galactus has ever been afraid of in Marvel Comics.
An Ancient Existence
Sole survivor of the universe existing before the Big Bang, Galactus is perhaps the most feared being in the cosmos.
Early life. Thanos was born approximately 1,000 years ago on the planet Titan to A'Lars, along with his brother Eros.
Galactus (Marvel)
He can only sustain himself by consuming entire planets. Galactus's villainy and evil nature make him the strongest comic supervillain.
Hulk has traditionally been seen as the strongest Avenger physically — and for good reason, though he's been subdued by both Iron Man and Thor. Then he got wrecked in the opening scene of "Infinity War" and we haven't seen him fight since.
Thor is one of the strongest beings in the Marvel Universe, with limitless strength to theoretically rival the Hulk. Combined with the strength and technology of T'Challa, Captain America, Iron Man, and She-Hulk, The Avengers could be Earth's strongest heroes.
Based on the analysis of powers, speed, strength, durability, and combat, we can safely say that Odin is stronger than Thanos and outmatches him in almost every aspect. Thanos might be among the most feared villains in the Marvel Universe, but he comes nowhere near when compared to All-Father Odin.
Galactus would win in a fight against Odin. Odin and Galactus are practically equal in their respective power levels, but they are stronger, more durable, and faster. Odin's only chance at defeating Galactus is if the latter is starved or poorly fed.
Loki – Thor's archenemy and adoptive brother.
Who can defeat all the Avengers?
Moon Knight's power level is often up for debate, but every night he demonstrates that he is capable of taking out each of the Avengers.
- 6 Hela.
- 5 Thor.
- 4 Mighty Thor.
- 3 Odin.
- 2 Vision.
- 1 Captain America (Steve Rogers)
Steve Rogers aka Captain America is the best example of someone who showed the bravery of a hero before they were a superhero. As a skinny young man, Steve was always willing to stand up to bullies, even if he knew he couldn't win the fight.
2) Captain Marvel
She holds her own with Thanos in hand-to-hand combat for longer than Thor, Iron Man, or Steve Rogers, and takes down his enormous warship single-handedly.
Tony Stark is the smartest of them all, having been responsible for some of the most incredible inventions to have ever graced the Marvel universe, including the Arc Reactor and one of the most sophisticated artificial intelligence systems known to man.
While the Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe, her greatest weakness proves even Spider-Man can beat her.
If there's one superhero who can totally beat her, it would be Spider-Man. Remember when the Webslinger covered his foe's entire face with his web? That is one of his signature moves! Despite not having any supernatural powers, Spider-Man has the advantage in this situation.
He Who Remains (aka Kang)
Kang is very easily more powerful than Doctor Strange, considering that a variant of him has overtaken every single universe, as is revealed in episode six of Loki (and somehow not at all addressed in Spider-Man: No Way Home).
